The Gospel of Thomas and others considered apocryphal as juxtaposed to the 4 other gospels as they appeared in the Bible were the modern man's link to the true teachings of Jesus. They were not included in the Bible because they were considered heresy in the same vein as the more valid postulates of the Bishop Arius were also considered as heresy. What were the basis of the Christian teachings used by the early preachers before Constantine and, therefore, before the Bible was even introduced which was a good 400 years after the death of Jesus? Of course, the books in the Bible and some. And what were those "some?" Those that were considered heresies. And why were they considered heresies? Isn't it safe to say that because they do not conform to the beliefs of those who decided which books must be included and which should not be?
We've been deceived all this time, it's still ongoing and we're letting it happen. Humans, we wake up in the morning, discover the world to find something to eat and rest and something to wear against the weather, eat, then sleep...basically, until we develop new strategies to diversify and make life easier and more comfortable. Now, there's more and more to just the basics. We get houses big and small, a huge variety of food and clothes to choose from, things to do such as the work, school, religion, media, sports, hobbies to kill time with. And the one thing that makes all of these possible is money. Do you not find that even a bit odd? It all starts with 'suggestions' which ends up with us unknowingly saying yes to everything like a crippling affliction. Then one feels lost in search of oneself. All one´s life one has been subscribing to conformity. One does things that people dictate to be good and tries to avoid things that society deems bad. One defines himself through one´s possessions. Everything in one´s life seems pre-ordained. One is sick of it; one is a volcano about to explode. Then in a sudden moment, something can happen. Let go. One gets up and tells oneself “It’s only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything”. One can claim one´s humanity by refusing to be static any longer. What is truly remarkable is the discovery that this interior pathway is almost identical in the different religions. The pathway taught by Buddha, Jesus, the Tao Te Ching, Rumi, and many other great religious mystics is very similar. What can we make of this? Does it not seem reasonable that Tao can be known by all people in ways consistent with their culture, language, history and experience and that there are many pathways to the same ultimate reality but we do not all speak the same language on the road?
